When You Need Me (a poem)

Spontaneous Creativity

Dulcet sleep, vestigial in these high school years –

Sempiternal ambition dissembles conscious

Hoarding elixirs ephemeral; Xbox disks,

Wii, PC, but then again illegal downloads

Never hurt, and the publicized, lustfully

Craved languor of Friday, Saturday, Sunday,

Summer, Spring, and Winter Break mangle

Life’s most quintessential wherewithal, scorching

Halcyon harbingers until their multitudes are

Imbued at the last and scintilla ages wither in

Descension as tintinnabulation spheres,

Reflecting grandmother’s forsaken,

Hand-sewn draperies dissolve in penumbra
